About the role
We are looking for a Senior iOS Software Engineer to join our distributed team and help build mobile tools that empower ecological activism and transparency in Ukraine and the broader Visegrad region.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance iOS applications in Swift
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (backend, design, advocacy) to translate user needs into technical specifications
- Implement secure, scalable architectures for data collection, mapping, and real-time alerts
- Optimize app performance and accessibility for users in low-connectivity environments
- Contribute to open-source components and documentation
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional iOS development experience
- Deep expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine
- Experience with Core Data, Core Location, and MapKit
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- Strong understanding of unit testing and UI testing
- Ability to work asynchronously in a remote-first team
- Fluency in English; Ukrainian or Polish is a plus
