What You’ll Do
- Architect, develop, and maintain core iOS application features in Swift with an emphasis on performance, stability, and usability
- Deploy and optimize on-device machine learning models (via MLX and CoreML) for real-time intelligence
- Integrate and visualize mapping, live weather feeds, sensor data, and other aviation inputs
- Ensure the app operates reliably offline
- Cook up and coordinate closely with product, design, and AI teams to translate concepts, research, and requirements into flight-ready features
- Uphold industry best practices for testing, accessibility, code quality, and compliance
- Own the App Store release process, including provisioning, profiling, and ongoing support/analytics
- Contribute to technical roadmaps, peer code reviews, and iterative feature delivery
- Help shape a dynamic, fast-moving engineering culture where shipping matters
What You Need
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of professional iOS development experience
- Fluency in Swift and familiarity with modern UIKit/SwiftUI architectures
- Track record of shipping and supporting apps on the Apple App Store
- Experience deploying on-device machine learning with Core ML, MLX, or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with mapping technologies
- Strong testing, debugging, and optimization skills for mission-critical apps
- Experience in developing offline first apps
Bonus Qualifications
- Background or hands-on experience in aviation, navigation, or weather-related applications
- Experience with 3D graphics, Metal, OpenGL or other advanced graphics technologies
- Understanding of aviation data formats, regulations, or EFB use cases
- Experience in small, agile teams and product development cycles
Pay
Base pay between $140,000 - $200,000, actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
