About the role

The Senior Investment Analyst will join an active and top-performing Origination Production team in our Atlanta office, supporting the Production Debt + Equity team through financial analysis, underwriting, loan request packaging, due diligence, closing, and various support functions. This is an in-office position with an immediate near-term start date.

Responsibilities

  • Underwriting – Prepare underwriting of commercial real estate properties based on historical financial statements, borrower models or projections, and market standards to determine projected income, valuation, and loan analysis.
  • Packaging – Prepare loan request packages in compliance with company guidelines and investor requirements, including narrative analysis of the borrower, property, location, and market, as well as underwriting, valuation, leases/rent roll analysis, and visuals (photographs, aerials, maps).
  • Pre-closing – Compile deal-specific lists of potential lenders, coordinate and track lender outreach, collect loan quotes, create detailed quote matrices for borrowers, and manage Salesforce updates.
  • Closing – Provide closing coordination at the direction of the Managing Director or Producer, acting as liaison with the servicing department. Responsibilities include collecting and reviewing due diligence, ordering and reviewing third-party reports, and reviewing lender documentation (term sheets, commitments, loan docs). Maintain open communication with borrowers, lenders, legal counsel, third-party vendors, and internal servicing and insurance departments.
  • Research & Lead Generation – Provide reliable borrower, property, and market-level data using third-party and internal resources, including ownership records, property transaction history, demographics, and sales/rent comparables. Conduct and sustain lead generation efforts using internal prospecting tools and third-party platforms.
  • Client Service – Provide lenders, borrowers, and internal teams with a best-in-class experience through reliable, high-quality service in a prompt, friendly, and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of full-time financial analysis and/or underwriting experience in Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets, with strong proficiency in agency CRE (Fannie/Freddie) underwriting preferred.
  • Four-year college degree required; major in real estate, finance, accounting, or business preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various property types.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow analysis and demonstrated analytical skills, including calculating NOI, DSC, ROC, IRR, etc.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external parties.
  • In-depth expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of Salesforce, ARGUS, and InDesign is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task under pressure and an aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Resourceful with a strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
