Job Description

Kayne Anderson Rudnick, headquartered in Los Angeles, is a well-respected wealth and asset management firm that manages over $50 billion in assets and employs more than 135 people across the United States. Established in 1984, KAR began by managing John Anderson’s family assets but gradually expanded its services to include relatives, friends, and eventually a wide range of clients—including high net-worth individuals, public organizations, corporations, endowments, and foundations. Today, the company operates as an affiliate of Virtus Investment Partners, a Hartford, Connecticut-based multi-boutique investment management firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrative and service contact for high-net-worth clients and their professional advisors, including CPAs, attorneys, and business managers.
  • Lead or contribute to firmwide and departmental projects.
  • Open new client accounts and oversee onboarding through completion.
  • Provide comprehensive daily client service, including transaction processing, cash management, tax-related activities, charitable gifting, required minimum distributions, account maintenance, and custom reporting.
  • Execute and monitor asset allocation changes as directed by Advisors.
  • Cook up Advisor–client meetings and prepare portfolio review materials.
  • Attend internal and external meetings or events as requested.
  • Maintain accurate client records in CRM systems and portfolio databases.
  • Partner with management to enhance operational processes and service standards.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Series 7 preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of client service experience supporting high-net-worth individuals within an investment management firm, private bank, or broker-dealer.
  • Strong understanding of equity, fixed income, and alternative investments.
  • Proven knowledge of account registration requirements and related documentation.
  • Experience working with custodians such as Charles Schwab and/or Fidelity Investments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional client service and supporting internal stakeholders.

Pay

The starting base salary is $72,000.00 to $95,000.00 plus applicable bonuses and incentives. The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in a company incentive plan.

Schedule

This position is a 3/2 hybrid (subject to change).
