Responsibilities
- Lead Accounting Project Coordinator for new SBA initiatives
- Artificial Intelligence initiatives
- Providing cross-functional accounting support across multiple units
- Developing and maintaining thorough knowledge of the use of SBA systems, operations and procedures
- Participates in Accounting's cross-training plan
- Performing advanced queries on accounting systems
- Improving or creating new accounting procedures and processes
- Analyzing accounting standards, regulations, and other authoritative guidance
- Interpreting complex accounting issues and making appropriate recommendations
- Collecting/organizing accounting data and preparing accurate financial reports
- Interpreting reconciliation discrepancies and resolving them
- Communicating effectively both orally and in writing
- Training and mentoring colleagues
- Managing multiple complex projects simultaneously and meeting varying deadlines
- Solving problems through analysis and critical thinking
- Learns new skills in a dynamic work environment
- Works accurately in a detail-oriented environment
- Collaborates effectively in a team setting
Qualifications
- Four years of related experience
- A postsecondary degree may be used as an alternative for years of direct experience
- Preference: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, mathematics, or a related field
- Must meet eligibility requirements to sit for the Certified Public Accountant examination
- Certified Public Accountant certificate from the Florida State Board of Accountancy
