Charlotte / Ballantyne, NC | Hybrid Oliver James is working with a leading life insurance platform looking for a Senior Investment Accountant to join its Charlotte team. This is an opportunity to work across a multi-billion-dollar investment portfolio, with strong exposure to alternative investments, private assets, fixed income and portfolio analytics. KEY SPECIFICATION Support accounting and reporting across a multi-billion-dollar investment portfolioStrong exposure to private investments, alternatives, fixed income and complex assetsInvestment accounting under US GAAP & Statutory Accounting PrinciplesPortfolio performance, attribution and investment analysisInvestment income, realized/unrealized gains, impairments and fair valueSupport Schedules B, BA, D & E and statutory reportingPrepare management, investment committee and senior leadership reportingPartner closely with Investments, Treasury, Actuarial, Risk and Financial ReportingSupport process improvement, automation and reporting enhancements Key Qualifications 3+ years of progressive accounting, investment accounting, investment operations or investment analytics experience3+ years of investment accounting within life insurance or an insurance asset management environment preferredStrong US GAAP + STAT knowledgeUnderstanding of investment securities and portfolio reportingStrong Excel and analytical skillsExperience with alternatives, private investments or structured products highly desirableClearwater / Oracle experience a plusCPA highly regarded.
