Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company delivering responsive launch services, complete spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, satellite components, and more – all with the goal of opening access to space. The rockets and satellites we build and launch enable scientific exploration, Earth observation, climate-change mitigation, national security, and new technology demonstrations. Our Electron rocket is the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket annually and has delivered over 230 satellites to orbit. We are also developing Neutron, a reusable medium-lift launch vehicle for larger constellation deployment. Our Space Systems business designs and builds satellites, payloads, and components, including spacecraft for NASA missions to the Moon and Mars and parts used on the James Webb Space Telescope.

About the role

The Senior Inventory Coordinator, based at Rocket Lab’s global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, manages all aspects of inventory—receiving, storage, counting, and kitting—ensuring materials are available for production while maintaining accuracy and compliance with processes. This role is critical to the "last mile" of our supply chain, supporting the assembly of Electron and Neutron rockets through just-in-time fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inwards goods on a FIFO basis and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for processing.
  • Ensure accurate and on-time delivery of components and production kits in accordance with production and transfer order plans.
  • Maintain supply of Kanban materials to the shop floor.
  • Manage raw material movements and replenishment.
  • Participate in a daily cycle counting program to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure the ERP system (LN) accurately reflects stock movements.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 2+ years of experience in inventory coordination or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or heavy manufacturing.
  • Experience with serial- and lot-controlled materials.
  • Prior work in high-paced, rapid-growth environments.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
