Senior International Tax Analyst II

TransUnion’s International Tax team supports global tax reporting, compliance, transfer pricing, and strategic initiatives across more than 30 countries. The team collaborates with finance, accounting, and business leaders to ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations while identifying tax planning opportunities. This hybrid role requires in-person work at an assigned TransUnion office at least two days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Support the quarterly and annual income tax provision process for international operations, including preparation and review of journal entries, tax account reconciliations, and foreign reporting packages.
  • Prepare and analyze international tax calculations related to ASC 740, uncertain tax positions, interim reporting, and unremitted earnings.
  • Assist with the preparation of international tax disclosures and supporting schedules included in the consolidated U.S. income tax return.
  • Coordinate with foreign subsidiaries and external advisors to support global tax compliance and transfer pricing requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain forecasting models to evaluate worldwide corporate income tax impacts and support business planning initiatives.
  • Research and analyze domestic and international tax legislation to assess the impact of legislative changes, tax planning opportunities, and business transactions.
  • Support cross-border structuring initiatives, transfer pricing projects, acquisition due diligence activities, and other international tax consulting engagements.
  • Independently prepare workpapers, perform tax analysis, and develop supporting documentation related to non-U.S. tax matters and transfer pricing activities.
  • Extract, validate, and analyze financial data from accounting systems to support tax reporting and compliance deliverables.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance outcomes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a corporate income tax department and/or public accounting firm with a focus on corporate income tax and international tax matters for multinational organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of international taxation concepts and U.S. corporate income tax rules, including GILTI, BEAT, FDII, and FTC calculations.
  • Working knowledge of ASC 740 accounting for income taxes, including tax provisioning, uncertain tax positions, and related financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience supporting international tax compliance processes, transfer pricing initiatives, and cross-border tax planning projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (required).
  • Master of Science in Taxation (MST) or Master of Laws in Taxation (LLM) (preferred).

Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, IF statements, SUMIF formulas, INDEX/MATCH functions, and spreadsheet automation.
  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision Software and OneSource Income Tax Return Software.
  • Familiarity with enterprise financial systems such as PeopleSoft and the ability to extract and analyze data from general ledger systems.
  • Experience using tax research platforms and databases, including CCH and BNA.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to transform large financial datasets into actionable tax insights.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting global transfer pricing compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Preferred: Exposure to international tax forecasting and effective tax rate analysis.
  • Preferred: Experience participating in acquisition due diligence, entity structuring, or international expansion projects.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of emerging international tax regulations and global tax reform initiatives.
  • Preferred: Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills within multinational environments.

Pay

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $82,700.00 - $120,000.00 annually. Actual compensation is based on education, training, work experience, job-related skills, location, industry knowledge, scope and responsibilities of the position, and market considerations. Eligible positions may participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan and long-term incentives.

Schedule

This is a hybrid position requiring in-person work at an assigned TransUnion office a minimum of two days per week.
