Senior International Relations Strategy Subject Matter Expert (SME)

About the role

This role supports strategic-level international engagements, multinational coordination, executive-level correspondence, and engagement planning supporting USSOCOM priorities and global SOF partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Support USSOCOM J3-International (J3-I) efforts through development, coordination, and execution of strategic-level international engagements, executive-level communications, and engagement strategies supporting command priorities and partner nation relationships.
• Demonstrate successful development, coordination, and execution of strategic-level engagements on a Commander’s Action Group at the Combatant Command / 4-star level.
• Demonstrate successful development, coordination, and execution of strategic-level engagements on a Commander’s Action Group or as a Political Advisor at the Combatant Command (COCOM) / Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) level.
• Use analytic and communication skills to prepare staff and coordinate written products and briefings for senior leaders (General Officer, Flag Officer, or Senior Executive Service level).
• Develop business and communication strategies intended to achieve strategic objectives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in International Security Studies.
• Recent experience (within the last 3 years) demonstrating successful development, coordination, and execution of strategic-level engagements on a Commander’s Action Group at the Combatant Command / 4-star level.
• Recent experience (within the last 3 years) demonstrating successful development, coordination, and execution of strategic-level engagements on a Commander’s Action Group or as a Political Advisor at the Combatant Command (COCOM) / Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) level.
• Recent experience (within the last 3 years) demonstrating use of analytic and communication skills to prepare staff and coordinate written products and briefings for senior leaders (General Officer, Flag Officer, or Senior Executive Service level).
• Recent experience (within the last 3 years) demonstrating development of business and communication strategies intended to achieve strategic objectives.
• Current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
