Senior Internal Accountant

About the role

A hands-on Senior Accountant position supporting the growing operations of a multi-generational, family-owned wholesale distributor. This role offers meaningful responsibility and clear opportunities for future growth within the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the monthly financial statement close process for 3+ related entities
• Perform hands-on accounting duties across Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), and General Ledger (G/L)
• Support the day-to-day financial and operational needs of the family business
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely, high-quality financial reporting
• Collaborate effectively across multiple company locations
• Contribute to process improvements and cross-training within the accounting team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• Minimum of 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Demonstrated cross-training and hands-on experience in A/R, A/P, and G/L
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a multi-entity, multi-location environment
• Experience supporting the operational needs of a family-owned business is highly desirable
