Senior Interior Designer

Danielle Rose Design Co. is seeking a highly skilled, creative, and collaborative Senior Interior Designer to join our growing studio. This is a senior-level, full-time position for a designer who thrives in high-end residential work, loves the details, and is excited to lead beautiful projects from early concept through installation. This role is ideal for someone who is equal parts visionary and executor. You are confident leading clients, collaborating with contractors and vendors, mentoring junior designers, and navigating the realities of complex residential projects with grace, organization, and professionalism. We are a boutique studio with high standards. Our team is deeply involved in every phase of the design process and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, layered homes that feel personal, elevated, and timeless.
Responsibilities
- Leading full-scope, high-end residential projects from initial concept through installation and close-out
- Developing layered, elevated design concepts including FF&E, finishes, lighting, custom furniture, and interior architectural details
- Producing and overseeing technical documentation including floor plans, elevations, millwork drawings, and construction-level design intent
- Preparing and presenting design concepts and selections to clients with clarity, confidence, and the ability to articulate the “why” behind every decision
- Serving as the primary design point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and consultants throughout the life of the project
- Partnering closely with Operations on budgets, timelines, proposals, and procurement (Use of Studio Designer.)
- Coordinating site visits, surveys, installations, and styling days to ensure designs are executed as intended
- Reviewing work produced by junior designers and external partners for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with studio standards
- Mentoring and supporting associate designers, offering guidance on design development, documentation, and DRDC processes
- Maintaining exceptional client care, professionalism, and communication on long-term, multi-phase projects
- Collaborate with the Principal Designer to lead creative vision and conceptual development
- Inspire the design team with strong ideas, thoughtful solutions, and a refined point of view
- Ensure all design documentation, specifications, and selections are accurate and up to date
- Anticipate project risks and proactively bring solutions and recommendations to the table
- Balance creative excellence with practical execution across multiple active projects
- Uphold and contribute to DRDC’s design standards, processes, and studio values
- Support a collaborative, respectful, and joyful studio environment
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to help elevate the entire design team
- Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, workflows, and the overall studio experience
Qualifications
- Have 5+ years of high-end residential design experience, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead role
- Have proven experience managing full-service projects from vision through installation
- Are highly proficient in AutoCAD and construction documentation, including detailing and millwork
- Have experience with Studio Designer, or are comfortable learning and using it daily
- Are comfortable and have the ability to travel locally across Long Island and the tri-state area for site visits and installs
