About the role

The position supports the United States Central Command J2 Directorate through the planning of Intelligence. Plans and assessments are vital to the decision-making of senior leaders, including the CENTCOM Commander.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist Intelligence Plans Division leadership and staff with planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, and executing intelligence planning activities.
  • Plan and coordinate Intelligence Campaign Plans (ICP) production and implementation for the J2 Directorate, other directorates, components, Intelligence Community (IC), and coalition and partner nation representatives.
  • Identify strategic and operational requirements for CCMD military operations, including collection capabilities, structure, manpower, communication, and logistics to meet operations requirements and identify shortfalls/gaps and develop courses of action and mitigation strategies.
  • Assess existing/future capabilities to meet operations requirements for CCMD military operations.
  • Conduct studies of intelligence planning programs that are broad in scope with frequently undefined limits, to evaluate effectiveness of current programs, feasibility of future programs, and development of planning efforts as well as planning and advising on the implementation of new ideas.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree with 10 years intelligence and/or service planning experience at echelons of command above Battalion/Squadron or credentialed SME or recognized specialist in relevant field
  • Bachelor degree with 12 years intelligence and/or service planning experience at echelons of command above Battalion/Squadron or credentialed SME or recognized specialist in relevant field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility and organization
  • Joint/Service Intermediate Level School [JPME-I, CGSC, SAMS / SAAS / SAWS / MAWS / JAWS], and JIP Level I / Tier I certification preferred or proof of working understanding of multiple intelligence disciplines and an awareness of CSA capabilities

TS/SCI w/CIP

  • Bachelors/Masters

  • 12/10

Compensation Details

$95,000 - $102,000
