About the role

The Sr. Intelligence Planner supports a federal government client and works at USSPACECOM Headquarters, Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis and assists in developing national and military space strategy, doctrine, and policy to support USSPACECOM J2 and Command efforts.
  • Prepares responses and coordinates strategy, doctrine, policy, and command RFIs for national and military space relationships in operations, exercises, war games, and Service, Joint, and NATO doctrine and OSD(P) Space Policy.
  • Collaborates with the Foreign Disclosure Office to develop and integrate USSPACECOM input to national and DoD level strategic guidance and policy documents.
  • Analyzes national and military space strategy and policy to support the development of the Command's strategy and plans.
  • Affords subject matter expertise on Russian, Chinese, North Korean, Iranian, and Rest of World space operations, activities, and investments impacting the Command's mission sets.
  • Provides threat-specific input to Operations Plans and Campaign Plans, including Priority Intelligence Requirements and Specific Information Requirements to support Command-wide planning efforts.
  • Attends and facilitates doctrine and policy conferences and Space Symposia, providing logistics support and coordinating briefings with stakeholders.
  • Coordinates staffing packages for the Foreign Disclosure Office and provides recommendations on critical issues and full meeting minutes discussed during the conference to the Government.

Requirements

  • 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or a Bachelor’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree.

Qualifications

Security clearance required: TS/SCI with a CI POLY or the ability to obtain one.

Skills

Strong analytical and research skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, proficiency in relevant areas of space policy and doctrine, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

$103,000 - $155,000, with salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
