About the role
We are seeking a Senior Integrated Water Resources Planner/Engineer to join our Water Resources team. This role plays a crucial part in shaping how communities manage water for generations to come. You will work on complex projects for the federal government, including water supply, flood risk management, coastal storm risk management, environmental restoration, and inland and deep draft navigation infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan and direct medium- to large-size planning and environmental compliance projects on behalf of the federal government
- Prepare, plan, and analyze compliance documents
- Direct work of others in completion of required studies, documents, and reports
- Demonstrate extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning, and programming experience
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Experience with federal plan formulation requirements
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field
- A minimum of 10 years technical and/or field experience in complex environmental planning projects
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research abilities
- Technical and/or field experience dealing with environmental impact issues, associated permit processes, and documentation preparation/review
Skills
- Leadership and technical experience on integrated planning related to water supply, flood risk management, coastal storm risk management, environmental restoration, inland and deep draft navigation infrastructure projects
- Experience in watershed scale feasibility studies/assessments for the federal government (ex. USACE, Bureau of Reclamation)
- Experience in a combination of subject areas such as watershed scale feasibility studies/assessments, environmental impact issues, permit processes, and documentation preparation/review
- Experience in planning and directing medium- to large-size planning and environmental compliance projects on behalf of the federal government
- Experience in preparing, planning, and analyzing compliance documents
- Experience in directing work of others in completion of required studies, documents, and reports
- Experience in demonstrating extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning, and programming experience
- Experience in performing other duties as needed

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $195,000 depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
