Responsibilities

  • Provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or Progressive Insurance Companies in all aspects of litigation.
  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, and negotiate settlements.
  • Work closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation and assess claim value.
  • Assess risk exposure by analyzing written discovery, depositions, medical records, and other relevant documents.

Requirements

  • Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM)
  • A minimum of five years general/auto civil litigation experience
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Compliance with Progressive's driving standards and/or policies

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship for employment

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

Pay

$149,968 - $164,800/year
