Responsibilities
- Provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or Progressive Insurance Companies in all aspects of litigation.
- Prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, and negotiate settlements.
- Work closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation and assess the value of claims.
- Assess risk exposure by analyzing written discovery, depositions, medical records, and determining appropriate defenses.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include a juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM), admission to practice law in the state of New York, and at least two years of general/auto litigation experience.
Qualifications
Experience handling cases from beginning to end, preparing legal pleadings, and negotiating settlements is essential.
Skills
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are required.

Pay
- Attorney I: $118,482 - $130,200/year
- Attorney II: $160,433 - $176,300/year
Schedule
This is a hybrid position. In-person attendance is generally limited to litigation-related events, with occasional travel required for training sessions, team meetings, and other business needs.
