Senior Instrumentation Engineer (PE)

About the role

This role involves leading complex control systems design, development, and coordination for infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed control system specifications, SCADA and network architecture diagrams, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary team efforts and review documents for conflicts.
• Supervise control system staff.
• Lead system integration, testing, commissioning, and cybersecurity assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Provide technical leadership in instrumentation selection, control panel design, and network security, including cybersecurity risk assessments.
• Engage in client meetings and support proposal development.
• Contribute to industry standards and thought leadership.
• Participate in construction administration, project management, and control system master planning.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in control systems design, programming, and cybersecurity.
• Expertise in automation hardware, HMI software, and industrial networks.
• Project management and team leadership experience.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Relevant certifications in control systems or cybersecurity are ideal.
