Senior Instrumentation & Controls - Connecticut

The Role

Lead specification and integration of instrumentation, valves, and field devices.

Develop and maintain control system architecture (PLC-based systems).

Design and programme PLC/HMI systems (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, etc.).

Produce key engineering deliverables (P&IDs, loop diagrams, control narratives).

Support testing, commissioning, and startup activities.

Contribute to SIS / functional safety design and participate in HAZOPs/FMEAs.

Work cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, and systems teams.

What They're Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in I&C engineering within power, industrial, or process environments
• Strong background in instrumentation, valves, and control systems
• Hands-on experience with PLC & HMI programming
• Experience across design, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with process systems and safety standards is beneficial

Additional Info

• Combination of office, lab, and field-based work
• Occasional travel required (~10%)
