About the role

As NFM’s Senior Installer, you’ll be responsible for delivering timely, professional installation and service for complex electronics products purchased by our customers. This role supports advanced programming across residential and commercial control platforms that integrate audio/video, lighting, motorized shading, surveillance systems and advanced network configurations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead. Help the supervisor direct, monitor and prioritize daily installation activity to ensure work is completed on schedule
  • Coordinate. Assign work, monitor progress and adjust priorities as needed to support teammates and customer commitments
  • Promote. Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring teammates follow proper equipment use and safety procedures
  • Consult. Serve as a technical resource for elaborate or complex installations involving teammates, customers and project needs
  • Resolve. Address complex installation challenges, including unique situations that require special handling, sound judgment or close attention
  • Support. Assist with project management efforts to help ensure installations are completed efficiently, effectively and to NFM standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 5 years of customer contact experience required
  • 5 years of electronics service, repair or installation experience required
  • Industry-recognized certifications preferred, including but not limited to Control4, Crestron, Cisco, CompTIA+, CTS and CEDIA
  • Thorough knowledge of home theater, home automation, A/V surveillance distribution, phone systems and home network systems
  • Knowledge of cable and wire types, audio devices and components, construction requirements, device placement, cable installation, ventilation needs, equipment layout and mounting techniques
  • Ability to work effectively with builders, trades, outside service providers and customers while using clear communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Advanced knowledge of construction, advanced carpentry skills and expert knowledge of current automation systems
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required; Missouri residents must have a Class E driver’s license
  • Lift test required: ability to lift, push and pull required weights per established department requirements
  • Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
