Senior Inspector
Responsibilities
- Inspect DOT construction work to ensure compliance with standards and project specifications
- Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with plans and standard specifications
- Inspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance
- Review plans to identify potential violations
- Maintain field and office records
- Perform complex quantity and engineering computations
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Determine the quality of materials being used throughout testing
- Communicate effectively
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or construction management preferred, could be substituted with NICET Level 3
- Minimum (6) years of experience in construction trades
- Minimum (4) years of experience as a Construction Inspector including inspection of site/civil
- OSHA 30 hr.
- Proficiency with web-based submittal collaboration systems
- Construction scheduling knowledge to support project team
- Experience with the Connecticut Department of Transportation is preferred
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures
- Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations
- Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills

Pay
$75,000/yr. min to $90,000/yr. max. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidates’ qualifications and location.
Schedule
The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
