Senior Inspector

About the role

This position covers Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess Counties in New York. In the role of Senior Inspector, we'll count on you to:

• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads and bridges
• Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed
• Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents
• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses
• Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical school or Associate degree
• Relevant Industry Certifications
• Ability to interpret construction schedules
• NYSDOT or NYSTA experience

Required Qualifications:

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent
• (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma)
• A minimum of 5 years experience
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

A preferred qualification is technical school or Associate degree. Relevant Industry Certifications are also preferred. Ability to interpret construction schedules and NYSDOT or NYSTA experience are required.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma. A minimum of 5 years experience is required. Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) is necessary. Strong written communication skills are essential. Pay

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) New York: $98,525 - $140,750
