About the Role
EAC is seeking a Sr. CEI Inspector to join our team in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or West Palm Beach. This role involves performing field inspection assignments, coordinating and supervising lower-level inspectors, conducting quality control material testing, and serving as an advisor to junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Perform field inspection assignments
- Coordinate and supervise lower-level inspectors
- Conduct quality control material testing analysis and reporting
- Conduct punch list identification and contract closeout review
- Serve as an advisor and mentor to junior-level project team members
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of experience in construction inspection, with two years in bridge or roadway construction inspection (one year if holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering)
- High School diploma or equivalent, or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and registered as an Engineering Intern (EI)
- Must obtain the following certifications within twelve months of hire:
- FDOT’s CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
- CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
- CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I
- FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
- Nuclear Radiation Safety
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to read engineering drawings and system maps
- Ability to understand and follow contractor schedules
- Ability to carry 40 pounds, stand/sit as needed, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to safely navigate construction sites with uneven terrain
- Ability to coordinate and supervise lower-level inspectors efficiently
