About the role
This is not a traditional SDR role. Our buyers are PhD-level scientists — Heads of Translational Medicine, Heads of Clinical Development, Chief Scientific Officers — who will disengage in seconds if outreach is generic or fails to demonstrate credibility with their scientific world. As our Senior Inside Sales Representative, you own everything from account research through the first qualified pain discovery conversation — at which point you hand off cleanly to the AE. Your mandate is pipeline quality and volume, not closing. This is a foundational commercial hire and a clear, supported path to a full-cycle AE role as the team scales.
Responsibilities
- Own the prospecting and outreach motion across BullFrog’s 200–250 addressable US pharma and biotech target accounts
- Research accounts deeply and craft outreach specific to each buyer’s pipeline situation, therapeutic area, and likely pain point — no templated copy-paste
- Execute multi-channel outreach sequences — personalized email, LinkedIn, and phone — anchored to clinical or scientific triggers relevant to each account
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads against BullFrog’s ICP; schedule and brief AEs before every first discovery conversation
- Monitor trigger events signaling buying readiness: trial readouts, leadership changes, new program announcements, and published data
Requirements
- 4+ years of business development or inside sales experience, with at least 2 years in life sciences, pharma, biotech, or a life sciences technology company
- Demonstrated ability to prospect into scientific or highly technical buyer audiences — you know a generic sequence won’t work with a Head of Translational Medicine
- Strong research skills: you can read a pipeline page, a clinical trial posting, or a conference abstract and extract the insight that makes your outreach specific and credible
- Excellent written communication — your emails and LinkedIn messages are concise, specific, and worth responding to
- CRM discipline (HubSpot preferred); comfortable in a lean, high-output environment with direct exposure to senior commercial leadership
Qualifications
- Precision over volume — you’d rather send 20 highly researched messages than 200 generic ones, and you have the results to prove it
- Intellectual curiosity about the science — you find it genuinely interesting, and that comes through in how you write
- Relentless follow-through — your CRM hygiene is a source of personal pride
- A clear growth trajectory — you approach every day in this seat as preparation for the AE role ahead
