Senior Innovation Manager

SUMMARY
Mortenson is seeking a Senior Lean Manager to partner with group leadership in planning and executing lean strategies, support project teams with 5S, flow construction, and kaizen-based continuous improvement, and capture quantitative improvements for future project pursuits and business strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create strong partnerships with leaders and workforce to establish trust and gain buy-in for lean approaches
- Promote continuous improvement principles and support leaders in improvement events and follow-ups
- Measure and ensure visibility of baseline performance and improvements across projects
- Develop and implement standards for identifying and responding to abnormal conditions
- Champion 5S practices and ensure consistency in policies, plans, and jobsite standards
- Advocate for Flow Construction, supporting teams in developing flow schedules and planning approaches
- Encourage ongoing brainstorming and implementation of improvements by crews
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or related degree OR Equivalent combination of education and technical/field experience demonstrated over multiple years of related work experience
- Minimum eight years' construction or manufacturing experience
- Minimum six years' experience applying continuous improvement in manufacturing or construction
- Current driver’s license
- Expert understanding of continuous improvement principles and their application
- Excellent reliability and follow-through on commitments
- Excellent trainer and facilitator
- Strong ability to coach and mentor lean professionals
- Ability to influence through relationship building
- Proactive self-starter with a growth mindset
- Strong sense of curiosity and optimism
- Effectively work with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $137,000 MIN - $205,600 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Schedule
This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
