About the role

We are seeking a friendly, patient-focused, and detail-oriented Senior Infusion Compounding Technician to join our Seattle team. In this role, you will fulfill prescription orders and dispense unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IVs, enterals, and related supplies while adhering to state and federal regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance
  • Compound IV medications in a clean room environment following USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations from state and federal agencies (WA DOH, Board of Pharmacy, DEA)
  • Maintain clean room environment and perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of room and equipment according to SOPs
  • Manage inventory and ordering supplies
  • Understand variable compounding modalities and work independently, consulting with the pharmacist as needed
  • Promote patient and medication safety
  • Resolve patient issues while ensuring accurate information is provided
  • Complete basic tasks without review by others
  • Assist with other pharmacy areas as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Washington
  • Intermediate proficiency with Windows PC applications
  • Ability to travel to both locations: 904 7th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104 and 9709 3rd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently

Qualifications

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience as a sterile compounding pharmacy technician or related experience in a community or inpatient pharmacy (preferred)
  • Experience with pharmacy inventory management and asset tracking (preferred)
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record (preferred)

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with healthcare providers

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 40-hour work week with hours determined by the supervisor between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Pay

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $20 to $36 per hour based on full-time employment, depending on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
