Senior Infrastructure System Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure System Administrator to design, implement, maintain, and support secure, resilient, and high-performing enterprise server environments. The successful candidate will have strong experience with server administration, server security, SIEM, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, risk and compliance, and endpoint protection.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure and security solutions.
• Develop technical design specifications for new and enhanced infrastructure security solutions.
• Design and support high-performance, low-latency technology solutions that meet operational and security requirements.
• Implement infrastructure solutions that provide stability, availability, resiliency, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure and information security solutions.
• Prepare security, infrastructure, operational, and performance reports.
• Participate in reporting activities, metrics analysis, and infrastructure security assessments.
• Monitor and manage server security, system logs, and security events.
• Support SIEM, log management, monitoring, and security management activities.
• Identify, document, track, and coordinate vulnerability remediation initiatives.
• Analyze infrastructure security risks and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.
• Support risk management, compliance, and security control activities.
• Implement and maintain antivirus, anti-malware, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Support endpoint security and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities where applicable.
• Review server and application security logs to identify potential security issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and operations teams to resolve technical and security issues.
• Provide recommendations to improve infrastructure security, monitoring, operational efficiency, and system reliability.
• Maintain accurate configuration, security, vulnerability, and operational documentation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in server administration, infrastructure security, systems engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with server administration in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with server security, security monitoring, and infrastructure protection.
• Experience with SIEM, security logging, log monitoring, and security event management.
• Experience with vulnerability management, risk management, and compliance activities.
• Experience with antivirus, anti-malware, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies or comparable endpoint security controls.
• Experience reviewing and analyzing server and application security logs.
• Experience developing infrastructure security design specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting infrastructure stability, resiliency, availability, and performance.
• Experience documenting vulnerability remediation initiatives and preparing security reports.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise SIEM platforms, security monitoring tools, and log management solutions.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, and security assessment tools.
• Experience with security frameworks, risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server security.
• Experience with infrastructure hardening, security configuration management, and patch management.
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure security in AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific security certifications.
