As a Senior Systems Engineer-IT, you will provide systems (server/application/network) administration of the development and production environments, perform COTS hardware/software integration, testing and verification, support system security activities including vulnerability management, access control and authentication, file system security, system hardening, compliance and auditing, perform automation development and support activities (Python/Bash/Ansible scripting), document defects in discrepancy reports and collaborate with technical teams on solutions.
About the Role
Virtualization experience, Linux and Windows systems administration capabilities for configuration and management, package management and software installation, troubleshooting/performance optimization, security support tasks, ability to script (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate tasks and workflows, perform IT environment hardening/security management, including administration of Trellix Security + or CISSP Certifications or other certification that fulfills DOD 8570 requirements, Active TS Clearance Required to Start.
Responsibilities
- Perform systems (server/application/network) administration of the development and production environments
- Support system security activities including vulnerability management, access control and authentication, file system security, system hardening, compliance and auditing
- Operational site in use of the deployed baseline
- Perform automation development and support activities (Python/Bash/Ansible scripting)
- Documenting defects in discrepancy reports and collaborating with technical team on solutions
Requirements
- VMWare/ESXi/vSphere experience
- NetApp experience
- vSAN experience
- Experience implementing and managing STIGs
- Software installations, account management (Active Directory & Group Policy), virtualization, networking, hardware design, procurement and installation, systems engineering, test and verification.
