Senior Information Systems Security Officer (III)
Leidos has an opportunity for a Senior Information Systems Security Officer in our Intel Sector. Our team leads in Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, Analytical Methods and Modeling, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and Cryptographic Key Management.
About the role
Our program provides the customer’s Operations organization with rapid prototyping, new development, and advanced technology research. From leading-edge visualizations to analytic development, we push boundaries to find new data sources and tradecraft. The role supports the Enterprise Discovery lab by maintaining compliance and strengthening the security posture of critical mission systems via the Risk Management Framework. Qualified candidates are eligible for enhanced incentives including up to a $25K cash sign-on bonus or a paid time-off bonus.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system.
- Support continuous monitoring of networks to detect and correct areas of security non-compliance, unmitigated vulnerabilities, and other risks.
- Follow consistent security processes and play a role in the information systems continuous monitoring program.
- Perform regular audits of information systems.
- Assist the information systems security manager in preparing the information system for periodic reaccreditation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience. An associate’s degree or 18 semester hours of military coursework/training in a computer-related field plus 10 years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Tier 1 certification (Security+, CAP, GSLC).
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
Skills
- Experience as an ISSO/ISSE with emphasis on Defense-in-Depth principles, network, and enterprise security architecture.
- Experience applying the principles of the NIST 800-53 including the procedures in the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Familiarity with STE/STN requirements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Pay
Pay Range: $107,900.00 – $195,050.00. The Leidos pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement, or other law.
