Senior Information System Security Officer - PLACEMENT
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end RMF lifecycle and the development of Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
- Manage the Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) process, including vulnerability tracking, prioritization, and remediation.
- Provide information security guidance to system development teams throughout the System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC).
- Lead security audits, accreditation efforts, compliance reviews, and readiness assessments.
- Conduct incident response, threat assessments, and investigations of security incidents.
- Perform security architecture reviews and design secure, integrated solutions.
- Ensure information assurance, including confidentiality, integrity, and availability, across all systems.
- Oversee continuous monitoring activities and ensure systems meet all mandated security requirements.
- Lead client engagements, brief senior leadership, and mentor junior team members.
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements, technologies, and processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of applicable experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 21 years of experience without a degree. This must include experience leading the RMF lifecycle and developing ATO packages, along with senior-level expertise in information security processes, audits, and tools.
- Skills: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Expertise in FISMA, NIST, and other federal compliance frameworks. Experience with Xacta IA Manager and/or CSAM. Must possess one of the following IAT Level III certifications: CISSP, CASP+, or an equivalent certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Authorization Professional (CAP).
- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory ISSO role.
- Background in enterprise security architecture and strategy.

About the Role
