What You Will Do:
- Support the security posture of mission-critical systems, programs, and enclaves
- Implement, maintain, and enforce information assurance policies, standards, and procedures
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to monitor system security, conduct audits, manage vulnerabilities, and support accreditation efforts, including System Security Plan (SSP) compliance
- Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the protection of information system assets against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction
- Monitor and analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify and respond to security incidents
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and SSP requirements
- Perform vulnerability assessments and scans, including user accounts, application access, file systems, and external interfaces
- Develop, test, and support security tools including firewalls, IDS, antivirus solutions, and software deployment tools
- Research, evaluate, and implement new security technologies and solutions
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures across systems, applications, and networks
- Support security documentation, including configuration management and SSP maintenance
- Communicate security incidents, alerts, and risks to appropriate stakeholders
- Support security awareness and training initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience supporting information system security programs in classified or regulated environments
- Knowledge of System Security Plans (SSP), security policy implementation, and compliance requirements
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and security assessment processes
- Familiarity with IDS/IPS technologies, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Understanding of system configuration and document management processes
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED and fourteen (14) years of relevant Information System Security experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline and ten (10) years of relevant experience
Certifications:
- Certification in compliance with the requirements of the DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher is required.
Clearance Requirement:
- Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
