About the role

The Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for supporting all portfolio level documentation for 30+ applications, coordinating and collaborating with the government client, and assisting teams in best practices around vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and sustainment of security controls in alignment with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Ensure compliance with FDIC and NIST cybersecurity policies and frameworks.
  • Maintain system Authorization to Operate (ATO) status for 30+ applications.
  • Operate and maintain 30+ applications, including initiatives around Cloud Migration.
  • Create and maintain documents such as Security Impact Analysis (SIAs), POA&Ms, and Security and Privacy Control Assessments (SCAs).
  • Develop and maintain knowledge management across programs.
  • Support project teams and promote collaboration across work streams.
  • Identify and address false positives related to unused libraries or other findings.
  • Conduct monthly sessions with government clients to review documentation updates and attend regular meetings for workstream support.
  • Collaborate with agency and external partners to support cybersecurity risk reduction and resilience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of overall experience, with preference for experience in portfolio and O&M support.
  • Knowledge of security controls, particularly in a government setting.
  • Experience supporting systems in Cloud environments and Agile/DevOps environments.
  • Desired certifications include CISSP, CASP, CISA, CEH, and CISM.

  • Ability to hold training sessions and provide office hours to support project teams.
  • Experience with scanning tools and supporting ATO packages.
  • Understanding of FS-191, operational directives, and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of NIST RMF (SP 800-37) and NIST SP 800-53 controls (Rev 4 & Rev 5), CNSSI 1253.

Pay and Benefits Information

The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $170,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
