Responsibilities
- Experience as Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) SME including transition of an IS from a Physical to Cloud environment
- Provides the leadership, management, and supervisory IA skills identified in DoD Directive 8570.01-M
- Ensures the rigorous application of IA policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all information technology (IT) and IA services
- Led and directed team personnel to quickly, efficiently, and effectively solve complex IA problems
- Leads the implementation of appropriate operational structures and processes to ensure an effective IA security program including boundary defense, incident detection and response
- Evaluates functional operation and performance in light of test results and make recommendations regarding C&A
- Maintains monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of IA security procedures and safeguards
- Ensures that protection and detection capabilities are acquired or developed using the IS security engineering approach and are consistent with DoD Component level IA architecture
- Knowledge of DoD provided IA tools
- Prepares and/or oversees the preparation of IA certification and accreditation documentation
- Analyzes, develops, evaluates, and integrates IA policies
- Maintains monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of IA security procedures and safeguards to ensure they provide the intended level of protection
- Knowledge, understanding and compliance with DoD 8140, 8500 (Cybersecurity), 8510 (RMF), 8551 (PPSM), CJCSI 6510.01f (IA & CND), etc.
Qualifications
- Qualification Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II in accordance with DoD 8140
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or computer engineering with at least 10 years of experience
Pay and Schedule
The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $75,142 to $110,000. Salary will be determined based on various factors.
