About Your Team and Role Our Protective Equipment function defines and delivers the protective equipment required to maintain critical operations in a biological crisis, centered on respiratory protection. Our work involves establishing the portfolio of products needed, ensuring it is available before a crisis begins, and preparing people to use it effectively when one arrives. The Applied Research and Regulatory Affairs team conducts research, and develops guidance, policy, and standards for respiratory protection. We create the protocols, procedures, and information organizations need to help prepare for severe pandemics and outbreaks. In this role, you will help define which personal protective equipment best serves our target users. You will work across the Protective Equipment function to identify, understand, and secure high-quality equipment, and to develop the protocols, guidance, and training for putting it in place at the start of a crisis. You will adapt best practices to crisis conditions so we can keep workers safe in a pandemic. You will also work with external groups, including professional associations and critical industry partners, to help ensure we are better prepared for the next severe biological crisis. What You Will Own Evaluating approved respirators and prototypes for their potential for pandemic preparedness and use.Building the documentation needed to stand up respiratory protection programs rapidly in the event of an outbreak, including fit testing protocols and respirator selection guides.Developing site-level protocols for distributing and using respirators, tailored to the needs of key critical industries.Creating cleaning and disinfection protocols, and emergency use procedures that keep respiratory protection programs functioning under crisis conditionDeveloping guidance for outbreak resiliency plans in collaboration with key partners.Providing guidance on respirator selection, fit testing, program administration, and pandemic preparedness planning for critical industry partners. Who You Are Must have Deep knowledge of US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations pertaining to selection and use of respiratory protection and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) standards for respiratory protection.Experience leading and practicing occupational safety and health, specifically in respiratory protection program administration, including respirator selection and fit testing.Experience creating occupational safety and health guidance materials, protocols, and training.Experience presenting to and training large and small groups as well as individuals.Demonstration of Hadrian’s values, described on the Careers page of the website. Nice to have Experience practicing occupational health and safety in energy, utilities, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, or other critical infrastructure segments.Experience writing guidance for pandemic preparedness and/or respirator use during outbreaks and pandemics.Experience administering respiratory protection during outbreaks or pandemics.Knowledge of guidance and standards guiding respiratory protection selection for biological aerosols and experience implementing it.Certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Your Salary and Benefits The expected base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $170,000 per year. Actual base pay will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match and flexible PTO.
