About the role
Mytra is revolutionizing the industry by applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of products for the $1T supply chain market. Facing challenges such as the rise in e-commerce costs and supply chain disruptions, the industry is now central to economic sustainability. This role involves developing the process, equipment, and factory that produces our robots and structures at scale.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the design and develop manufacturing build processes for robotic hardware
- Calculate, simulate, and test a factory flow that operates at scale, incorporating cross-functional metrics and forecasted variability
- Plan and design manufacturing layouts and facilities for assembly and fabrication of robotic systems and structures
- Develop and deploy workflows to propagate and maintain a manufacturing execution system (MES)
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and delays to achieve our scaled ramp
- Brainstorm, justify, and champion simultaneous DFx projects designed to enhance the efficiency of product assembly and manufacturing
- Work with suppliers to advise and develop various manufacturing technologies, including stamping, welding, assembly, and plastics processing
Requirements
- +7 years practical experience in manufacturing
- Very comfortable with design for manufacturing, including mechanical, electrical, and robotics integration
- Experience with designing and deploying semi-automated assembly lines or other manufacturing equipment and systems
- Experience managing large information data sets and conducting process analysis to ensure scaling goals
- CAD software proficiency: OnShape or Creo for part design, AutoCAD or similar for layout planning, FlexSim or Tecnomatix for process simulation
- Uncertainty isn't scary, and willing to realize mistakes and pivot
- Ability to convey complex ideas and technical concepts to a diverse audience, including technicians and associates building the product
- Strong project management skills and ability to motivate colleagues to reach ambitious goals
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
- Experience bringing a product from concept to mass-production
- Experience laying out a factory from scratch
- Leverage Lean or Six Sigma methodologies

Pay
The posted salary range is 130,000 - 150,000 USD per year, applicable only to the San Francisco Bay Area and subject to change.
