Key Responsibilities

  • Aid and lead in the creative process from concept through to mass production, championing human-centered design principles.
  • Translate complex marketing and product requirements into compelling design solutions in collaboration with engineering, product, manufacturing, and business teams.
  • Generate innovative concepts using sketches, CAD models, renderings, and mock-ups to most effectively communicate and execute your ideas.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency across all deliverables.
  • Own design through every development phase, communicating clearly across multidisciplinary teams and with external partners, ensuring the retention of design intent and high-fidelity implementation.
  • Apply consumer and ethnographic research insights to identify and drive meaningful user experiences.
  • Be receptive to constructive feedback, contributing positively to a collaborative design culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or product design.
  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial design, with 2-3 years in a senior role, within fast-paced consumer electronics or high-volume consumer goods sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and inspire teams, both internally and externally.
  • Expertise in 2D/3D design tools such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Pro/E, KeyShot, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present design rationale persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of mechanical/electrical engineering and high-volume overseas manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated balance between creativity, technical aptitude, and business awareness.
  • Ability to work independently in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to evolving project needs and pivot quickly where required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
