Senior In-House Litigation Attorney
About the role
You’ll support our ongoing growth as we expand our offerings and enter new global markets. Your primary focus will be on managing complex litigation and counseling on various areas of potential risk, including regulatory, competition, healthcare law, and more. You'll assist in handling and winning multi-million dollar disputes, minimizing risk through proactive counseling, and representing the company in high-stakes legal proceedings. Additionally, you'll work on forging relationships with vendors and industry collaborators, ensuring compliance with existing and developing legal frameworks in the US and abroad. Your level of responsibility will match your skill set and will increase rapidly as you expand your knowledge of our exciting and rapidly changing industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex litigation and provide counsel on regulatory, competition, healthcare law, and other risk areas
- Handle and win multi-million dollar disputes
- Minimize risk through proactive legal counseling
- Represent the company in high-stakes legal proceedings
- Forge relationships with vendors and industry collaborators
- Ensure compliance with existing and developing legal frameworks in the US and abroad
- Draft motions and briefs, take depositions, conduct oral arguments, lead settlement negotiations, and try cases
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) with experience counseling toward risk mitigation
- Regulatory and privacy litigation experience is a plus
- Strong academic and professional background
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytic skills
- Eye for detail and a creative mind
- Relocation to the Madison, WI area is necessary and will be fully reimbursed
