PATIENT/CUSTOMER
- Evaluate patients' progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Test and evaluate patients' physical and mental abilities.
- Analyze medical data to set realistic rehabilitation goals.
- Select activities to help individuals learn work and life-management skills.
- Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs.
- Recommend changes to patients' work or living environments.
- Consult with rehabilitation team to select activity programs.
- Help clients improve cognitive skills using computer programs.
- Develop and lead health promotion programs and group activities.
- Supervise, train, and assess therapy students during clinical affiliations.
Clinical Education
- Serve as a fieldwork instructor for therapy students.
- Aid in the clinical education of therapy students.
Patient/Employee Safety
- Participates in entity and department-wide initiatives for patient/employee safety.
- Demonstrates awareness of patient/employee safety in daily responsibilities.
OPERATION
- Therapy Examination: Apply principles of logic and scientific method.
- Therapy Treatment Planning: Develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Therapy Treatment Implementation: Execute treatment plans effectively.
- Compliance with Licensure Requirements: Maintain occupational therapist license.
- Ethical & Legal Practice Standards: Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines.
- Documentation: Comply with documentation standards.
- Audits: Complete audits as required.
- Productivity: Meet productivity expectations.
- Wear Health System ID according to GSPP policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- 3 years of clinical experience required.
- Competent generalist with advanced clinical skills in one or more areas.
- Occupational Therapist license required.
- Basic Life Support / CPR certification required.
