Senior IC Validation Engineer

About the role

The Integrated Circuits Team is responsible for the design and test of the integrated circuits which operate at deep-cryogenic temperatures and interact with the qubits. This role is a unique chance to work at the bleeding edge of technology development where you will measure, optimize, and analyze the performance of innovative circuits to tackle the engineering challenge of implementing a large-scale quantum computer in silicon.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate integrated circuits operating at cryogenic temperatures
• Measure, optimize, and analyze the performance of innovative circuits
• Collaborate with experimental design teams to develop and execute test plans
• Apply statistical and data analysis techniques to interpret experimental results
• Understand and apply principles of analogue and mixed-signal circuit operation
• Utilize CMOS device physics and process knowledge to support circuit design and validation

Requirements

• Strong background in practical electronics test and measurement
• Experience with experimental design and statistics/data analysis
• Knowledge of analogue and mixed-signal circuit operation principles
• Understanding of CMOS device physics and process
• No background in quantum physics required
