CBRE is seeking a skilled Senior HVAC/R Technician to support a cutting-edge pharmaceutical facility in Fremont, CA. You’ll be the go-to expert for installing, repairing, and fine-tuning advanced HVAC and refrigeration systems that power critical operations. This role is a vital part of our Engineering and Technical Services function, where you’ll provide essential support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on critical equipment and systems, ensuring optimal building performance and client satisfaction.

What You'll Do

  • Install, repair, adjust, and maintain large electric or pneumatic control systems for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Calibrate instruments, gauges, and control components with precision to ensure system accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment failures, identifying and implementing the best course of action for repairs or modifications.
  • Manage and maintain optimal stock levels for HVAC materials, supplies, and components to support ongoing operations.
  • Apply foundational knowledge of standard HVAC principles to practical scenarios, leveraging your experience to solve challenges.

What You'll Need

  • A High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma, combined with 2-3 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • A valid driver's license and successful completion of an apprenticeship program preferred.
  • EPA Universal required.
  • The ability to meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Proven ability to utilize existing procedures to solve standard problems and address technical challenges effectively.
  • Experience analyzing information and applying standard practices to make sound judgments and decisions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, for documentation and communication.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with an inquisitive mindset, eager to learn and improve processes.
