Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor HVAC design staff
- Review and approve HVAC system designs before release
- Verify load calculations, equipment sizing, layouts, and energy performance
- Coverage with sales, estimating, project management, and building automation teams
- Ensure designs meet code requirements, budget targets, and installation needs
- Support design revisions, field coordination, and technical problem-solving
- Help establish engineering standards and quality control practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of commercial HVAC design experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong skills in AutoCAD and Revit
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, building automation, energy modeling, and applicable codes
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong communication, organization, and Microsoft Office skills
