About the role

CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join our Commercial & Institutional – MEP Team at our Bethlehem, PA office.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the technical execution of commercial and school projects within his/her discipline
  • Provides expert consultation in one or more areas of the respective field of engineering
  • Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
  • Provides guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff
  • Provides technical development of proposals and external presentations (i.e., clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.)
  • Solves highly complex technical issues and continuously monitors the progress and performance on a project to ensure efficient production and uncover potential problems
  • Recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections following standard procedures and recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of design

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) required
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience is required
  • Prior engineering consulting firm experience preferred
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required

Qualifications

  • Active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred

Benefits
