The Opportunity

We are expanding and growing our portfolio and pipeline, and we are seeking a Senior Human Resources Specialist to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department at Hugel Aesthetics. The incumbent will provide accurate and timely HR and payroll transaction processing, onboarding and pre-boarding support, interview coordination, and front-line assistance to employees and candidates. Reporting to the Senior Director HR, the Sr. HR Specialist will process and audit HR data transactions, perform HR data entry, and support recruitment and pre-boarding processes. The incumbent will work with our HR vendors to support key activities in support of the employee lifecycle at Hugel. This role is well suited to an HR professional who is detail-oriented, organized, loves to learn, and is comfortable managing a high volume of transactional work while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and customer service. It is a great growth role for someone to learn meaningful HR skills across a variety of HR focus areas.

What You’ll Do

  • HR Transaction Processing & Data Entry
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions in the HRIS, including new hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, and terminations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Enter and maintain employee data (personal information, job/position data, compensation, and benefits elections) in accordance with company policy and data integrity standards.
  • Audit HRIS records regularly to identify and correct discrepancies, and support data clean-up projects as needed.
  • Payroll Support
  • Enter and review payroll-related data (new hires, pay changes, timecard corrections, deductions) to support accurate and on-time payroll processing.
  • Partner with the Accounting & Payroll team to research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
  • Assist with payroll audits and reporting as requested, and serve as point of contact for external payroll vendor support questions.
  • Pre-Boarding, Onboarding and Offboarding
  • Candidate pre-boarding activities, including offer letter distribution, background checks, new-hire paperwork, and pre-employment compliance requirements.
  • Support new employee onboarding, including orientation logistics, system access setup, and first-day/first-week check-ins.
  • Processing of I9 support for new hires (as needed).
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires and hiring managers throughout the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  • Offboarding processes such as exit interviews, exit logistics, COBRA notices, unemployment claims.
  • Recruiting Coordination
  • Schedule candidate interviews across multiple interviewers and departments, coordinating calendars and logistics (in-person and virtual).
  • Communicate with candidates regarding interview details, and provide a professional, responsive, and engaging candidate experience.
  • Support the HR team with administrative tasks such as posting requisitions, tracking candidate status, and preparing offer documentation.
  • Draft offer letters and manage the distribution of electronic offer packets, including benefits details, relocation information, and necessary agreements.
  • Benefits Support
  • Benefits platform administration for US Plans (such as enrollment changes, eligibility confirmation, and triage support with vendors).
  • Benefits invoice reconciliation on an anticipated monthly basis.
  • Support plan administration documents for benefits, worker’s compensation, etc.
  • General HR Support
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, payroll, and general HR programs, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • HR point of contact for compliance and reporting (I9s, leave administration, EEO-1/OSHA support).
  • Aid in the administration of HR programs and initiatives, including open enrollment, performance review cycles, and employee engagement activities.
  • Support the HR team with special projects, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information at all times.
  • Support HR Sr. Director in local culture activities such as employee engagement, Hugel Week events, and other site activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an HR, payroll, or related administrative role.
  • Prior HR experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or aesthetics industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Bamboo, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling data entry and transactional work.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-service orientation toward employees and candidates.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and calendar scheduling tools.
  • Ability to work in an office environment, and sit, stand or use computer for extended period of time.

Compensation

The most likely base pay range for this position is $79,500 – $90,000 per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual’s exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Hugel Aesthetics. The total compensation could include base salary and bonuses.
