Senior Human Resources Manager (HR Shared Services)

About the role
As the Senior HR Manager, you'll play a critical role in driving operational excellence across the Human Resources function. Reporting to the HR leadership team, you'll lead a team of HR Generalists while creating consistency across policies, processes, compliance, and employee relations practices. Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Generalists while driving accountability and operational excellence.
- Standardize HR policies, procedures, and processes across multiple business units to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex employee relations matters, investigations, and risk assessments.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, Legal, and business leaders to ensure consistent execution of HR programs and compliance initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify and enhance HR processes, workflows, documentation, and governance.
- Lead compliance-related HR activities, including policy administration, regulatory compliance, audits, and employment law initiatives.
- Establish operational discipline by balancing workloads, setting priorities, monitoring team performance, and improving service delivery across the HR organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including 5+ years leading HR professionals.
- Experience having led or been part of building or moving towards a Shared Services HR Operations Model.
- Strong expertise in employee relations, investigations, employment law, HR compliance, and policy administration.
- Demonstrated success driving process improvement, standardization, and operational excellence within multi-site organizations.
- Proven ability to coach and develop HR teams while influencing leaders across all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management, analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Manufacturing, industrial, or distribution industry experience is highly preferred.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
