About the Company

Tonix Pharmaceuticals is a fully integrated, commercial-stage biotechnology company focused on central nervous system (CNS) and immunology treatments in areas of high unmet medical need. TONMYA® (cyclobenzaprine HCl sublingual tablets 2.8 mg) is the first new treatment for fibromyalgia in adults in more than 15 years. Tonix’s CNS commercial infrastructure supports its marketed products, including its acute migraine products, Zembrace® Symtouch® (sumatriptan injection 3 mg) and Tosymra® (sumatriptan nasal spray 10 mg).

The company is investigating TONMYA® in Phase 2 clinical trials for major depressive disorder and acute stress disorder/acute stress reaction. Tonix is also advancing a pipeline of immunology programs, including TNX-4800 (a Phase 2 ready long-acting human anti-Borrelia OspA monoclonal antibody for Lyme disease prevention) and TNX-1500 (a Phase 2 ready third-generation CD40 ligand inhibitor for kidney transplant rejection prevention). Additionally, TNX-2900 (intranasal potentiated oxytocin) is Phase 2 ready for Prader-Willi syndrome treatment.

About the Role

The Senior Human Resources Generalist supports employees, managers, and the HR team across key HR functions, including employee relations, workforce and talent planning, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, compensation administration, payroll backup, HRIS data integrity, compliance, reporting, and policy administration. This role serves as a key HR contact for routine inquiries, supports complex workplace matters in partnership with HR leadership, and contributes to HR projects, training initiatives, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with the HRBP and HR Team to serve as HR contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related questions.
  • Provides guidance on routine employee relations matters, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Supports HRBP & Senior Director, HR with complex workplace investigations.
  • Coordinates and assists HRBP with workforce planning, talent planning, and calibrations.
  • Administers onboarding and offboarding processes while maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Coordinates annual performance review processes and supports HRBP with performance management and compensation administration.
  • Serves as a back-up for payroll processing.
  • Maintains HRIS data integrity and conducts regular audits of employee files and documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Generates HR metrics and reports for leadership.
  • Creates, updates, and enforces HR policies to align with company objectives.
  • Participates in HR projects, employee training programs, professional development initiatives, process improvements, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with demonstrated experience supporting employee relations, workforce planning, talent planning, performance management, benefits, HR compliance, and HRIS administration.
  • Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industry experience preferred.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience handling employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, HRIS, and similar computer systems.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and a demonstrated problem solver.
  • Dedicated team player able to withstand the high demands of a fast-paced environment.
