Senior Human Resources Generalist
About the role
The position is at a tech company. We're looking for a Senior HR Generalist to join our People team. This is a hands-on, end-to-end HR role for someone who enjoys handling a wide range of responsibilities. One week, you may be addressing benefits inquiries, and the next you could be auditing pay equity data, developing policies, or supporting the Recruiting team during periods of high hiring demand. As a key member of a lean People team, you'll have significant ownership and visibility into how HR initiatives contribute to the company's success. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in modern work environments and enjoys leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness. We welcome qualified candidates located anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Support pay equity and pay transparency initiatives through data entry, audits, and reporting.
- Manage or assist with core HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, employee records, and employee lifecycle transactions.
- Create and maintain HR documentation, including policies, guidelines, forms, and process documentation that are both practical and compliant.
- Aid in the performance management process throughout its lifecycle.
- Assist with employee relations matters such as performance concerns, accommodation requests, and employee separations while exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality.
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs across the United States and Canada, including enrollments, vendor coordination, equity grant processing, and employee inquiries.
- Help assess and enhance benefits offerings while identifying opportunities to improve administrative efficiency.
- Stay informed on US and Canadian labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Assist with audits, EEOC reporting, and other compliance-related documentation.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures by developing, updating, and implementing standard operating procedures that align with applicable labor regulations.
- Gather and analyze HR metrics to support informed, data-driven decision-making.
- Lead or contribute to initiatives that improve, streamline, and automate HR processes.
- Apply an innovative mindset by incorporating AI tools into daily HR operations, documentation, and process improvement.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen policies and ensure HR operations remain secure, scalable, and effective.
- Provide additional support to the Recruiting and Talent team during periods of increased hiring by assisting with sourcing, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Adapt to hiring needs without maintaining ownership of ongoing recruitment requisitions.
