Senior Human Resources Generalist
About the Role
Legrand's Cablofil division has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Mascoutah, IL, part of the St. Louis metro area. This is a highly visible, hands-on HR role where you will partner closely with leaders and employees to strengthen the employee experience, support business priorities, and help build a positive, engaging workplace culture. You will support a broad range of HR activities, including staffing and onboarding, compensation and benefits, employee relations, employee engagement, company events, training and development, health and safety administration, policy interpretation, labor law compliance, and HR/payroll system transactions. You will also partner with Corporate HR and HR Operations on key projects, programs, and day-to-day HR support. The ideal candidate is a trusted HR partner who brings strong communication, coaching, influencing, and employee relations skills, along with a passion for helping people and the business succeed.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted HR partner for employees and leaders by supporting day-to-day HR needs, answering questions, and helping resolve employee-related matters in a timely and thoughtful way.
- Partner with Legrand leaders and HR colleagues to investigate and resolve employee relations matters.
- Assist with local execution of compensation, benefits, performance management, recognition, training, development, leave administration and other employee programs.
- Ensure policies, practices, and actions comply with applicable federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and Legrand policies.
- Help attract, develop, engage, and retain talent by administering HR programs and processes that support both employee success and business needs.
- Build positive employee relations by coaching and advising supervisors, managers, and associates on topics such as performance, development, motivation, compensation, benefits, policies, and workplace expectations.
- Contribute to the development, communication, and consistent application of HR policies, practices, and procedures, helping ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Support workforce planning and recruiting efforts by partnering with the Recruitment team to help fill professional, support, production, and temporary roles based on business needs.
- Enhance the employee experience by supporting onboarding, orientation, new leader assimilation, and development planning for new and reassigned employees.
- Guide managers and supervisors through the performance management process, including goal setting, development planning, feedback discussions, and timely completion of annual performance activities.
- Perform other similar and related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of progressive HR experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. This is an on-site role, offering the opportunity to work closely with employees and leaders each day.

- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, email, and meeting management tools. Able to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to balance employee needs with broader company priorities.
Pay
Salary Range: $80,000-$95,000. This position is eligible for annual incentive bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents. The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
