Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and proactive HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Human Resources team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR strategic skills and contribute to the overall success of our company. This position will be based out of Bald Mountain (Elko area), Nevada.

Essential Functions

  • Consults with leaders, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with leaders to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Supports department leaders on complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Produces quality investigation summary reports.
  • Presents information to various audiences, including new hire orientation, leadership development, safety meeting topic reviews, and project status updates.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Works closely with leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Executes HR related projects, short and long term such as leadership identification programs, employee upskill initiatives, summer hire programs, employee engagement activities, and more.
  • Assists in coordinating employee engagement events, and new hire orientation as necessary.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, safety, environmental, confidentiality, and code of conduct.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • (Senior level) Minimum 5+ years' experience in a HR related role, with a focus on resolving employee related issues.
  • (Mid-level) 1-3 years' experience in a HR related role, with a focus on resolving employee related issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related field, preferred.
  • General understanding of the mining or industrial field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational analysis, employee diversity, performance management, HRIS, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently with a minimum amount of direct supervision.
  • Ability to lead and mentor others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and other related systems.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
