About the role
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) seeks a Senior Human Resource Associate to support its workforce of approximately 250 employees. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of WYDOT by providing expert HR guidance and support.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultative human resources support to managers and employees
- Aid in recruitment, hiring, and workforce planning initiatives
- Advise on classification, compensation, and position management matters
- Support employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns
- Guide employees through benefits and employment-related processes
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement organizational solutions
Requirements
- At least two (2) years of experience in human resources
- Knowledge of federal laws including ADA, EEOC, FMLA, FLSA, etc.
- Knowledge of State of Wyoming Personnel Rules and Executive Orders
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance
- Knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
- Skills in grammar and proper English usage
- Skills in interpersonal relations
- Skills in organization and prioritization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Skills in conflict management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (typically in Human Resources)
- Experience in Human Resources Associate II level
Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
