Senior HSE Project Engineer (Onsite)

About the Role

The Hot Section Engineering team at Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Engineer for the F135 Nozzle and 3BSM Module. In this role, you will have part-level ownership on a Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and will plan and execute assigned tasks to ensure the IPT achieves overall component goals. This position involves direct interfacing with engineering management, program management, suppliers, and government customers, working collaboratively to meet program requirements and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable lead for CIPT part-level planning and execution, including communication, risk management, and adherence to program requirements.
• Provide leadership and support to the F135 Nozzle and 3BSM IPT.
• Plan, propose, and execute development, production, and sustainment improvement tasks.
• Interface directly with cross-functional teams spanning all portions of the F135 program.
• Communicate weekly with F135 leadership and government contacts.
• Act as Control Accounts Manager (CAM), responsible for schedule and budget for assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of prior relevant engineering experience OR an Advanced Degree and 3+ years of prior relevant engineering experience.
• 10% travel required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in program/project management tools (e.g., SAP, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Teamcenter, Confluence, Jira).
• Completed CAM Training or CAM certification.
• Demonstrated success in leading multi-functional teams.
• Experience working across functions, organizations, and management levels.
• Experience with nozzle or exhaust design and development.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 - $165,200 USD. The range provided is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
