Senior Project Engineer (Onsite)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) Engineering organization. In this role, you will lead cross-functional engineering projects supporting the development and delivery of advanced aerospace propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering projects by managing scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables to achieve program milestones on time and within budget.
• Prepare and present technical and program status updates to CIPT (Component Integrated Product Team) and Pratt & Whitney leadership, clearly communicating progress, risks, and required actions.
• Lead engineering change execution, risk assessments, and mitigation planning to reduce cost, schedule, and technical exposure across the project lifecycle.
• Analyze performance data to identify issues, develop solutions, and optimize efficiency while ensuring minimal disruption to project operations.
• Support proposal efforts by developing accurate BOEs (Basis of Estimate) and preparing Earned Value Management (EVM) reports for tasks requiring EVMS compliance.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience: Aerospace experience and/or project management experience.
• Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Results-oriented with the ability to drive tasks through to successful completion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teamcenter, SAP, Microsoft Project, or other project management software.
• Demonstrated sound judgment, professionalism, and business maturity.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
